To celebrate the World Wetlands Day, the Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands (SCPW) launched the Youth Eco Camp Training Manual - A guide for conducting the SCPW Youth Ecological Camp. This SCPW publication aims to guide organizations on the conduct of an EcoCamp for an overview of ecological concepts, fundamentals of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Climate Change and ecosystem-based adaptation.

There was sharing of experiences and lessons learned from partners (Ms. Arlene Robles of United Nations - World Food Programme and Ms. Adelina Santos-Borja of Laguna Lake Development Authority), eco-camp graduate (Maria Laiya de los Reyes of PinoyME Foundation) and teacher (Ms. Wilna Artitchea of Paagahan National High School in Mabitac, Laguna) during the launch.

At the same event, the 2016 Atlas of Inland Wetlands and Classified Caves of the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources was also launched. The launch was followed in the afternoon by a Roundtable Discussion on the Philippine-authored Ramsar Resolution XII.13.
