The Winning Project Concept
Pateros, Metro Manila

All the concepts presented by the groups during the eco-camp were all related to IEC (information, education and communication), to increase awareness among the schools and community members.  It was, therefore, decided that all groups will implement an IEC project wherein each group will do a common activity which is the conduct of seminar on Ecological Solid Wastes Management and a specific activity chosen by the judges from the group’s action plan.  The project will be called “Lonely River, Tayo ang Saver”, adopting the title from the concept of Maria Concepcion Cruz High School.  The P50,000.00 prize was divided equally among the five groups for the  implementation of their corresponding activities.  The project concept was consequently presented in a Community Lake Forum on 24 November 2009 at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall of Pateros to come up with an operational plan and solicit support from the communities.
