The PSDN operates an electronic information and database system on sustainable development.  To further enhance information and communication exchange on a global level, the PSDN established and operated a gateway to international databases and networks.

Technology Development and Dissemination

By making information readily accessible and by disseminating know-how to a greater number of people, the PSDN promotes technology that would eventually contribute to the attainment of sustainable development goals.

Forum for Consultation

To foster wide and open communications on sustainable development issues among different sectors of the economy, the PSDN, in coordination with relevant organizations, conducts workshops, seminars, fora, and symposia that explore and generate inputs for the solutions of these issues.

Capacity Building

The PSDN, in coordination with  relevant organizations, conducts trainings on -
i) planning and management practices promoting sustainable development;
ii)  the application and use of technology conducive  to an environmentally-sound and sustainable development; and iii) the operation of computerized information system running on a network.

To a limited extent, the PSDN conducts studies on policy issues pertaining to sustainable development.

Advocacy

In coordination with relevant organizations, the PSDN also promotes information and educational campaigns to increase awareness of various sectors on sustainable development.  Target groups for this activity include decision-makers in both the government and private sector, among others.
