- Education and Information Campaign
The seminars and training sessions should
precede the project implementation to ensure that the residents appreciate the overall
value of an effective and efficient solid waste management scheme. There is a large
psycho-social barrier that has to be broken in order to make people appreciate the value
of segregation and recycling. The continuing education of the residents should always take
into consideration the fast turnover of househelps.
The waste management scheme is integrated
in the overall building management, making it part of the responsibilities of every
administrative assistant of each building in implementing in-house environmental policies.
