        is a network of broadcast media practitioners and educators committed to providing the
        public with information on the environment and sustainable development through their
        programs and activities. EBC serves as a clearing house for channeling information between
        sectors and communities and the participating broadcast practitioners.  The
        organization was formed in early 1995 by advocates from various NGO’s working for the
        environment and sustainable development.

        ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT BUREAU (EMB)
        of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources was created in June 1987 to
        spearhead the government efforts in protecting the resources of the country from
        environmental degradation through the development of effective programs and strategies on
        environmental protection and management.  The general objectives are:  (a)
        improvement of environmental quality through the formulation of appropriate policies and
        regulations, development of technologies, and the creation of public awareness that will
        be translated into actions beneficial to the environment and (b) to complement the
        government efforts to achieve sustainable development through proper incorporation of
        environmental considerations in planning and project/program implementations.

        is part of the global initiative of establishing training networks in various developing

        Philippine water resources. It heightens awareness among public and private institutions
        on development issues affecting water and sanitation policy reforms and water resource

        accelerate the development and balanced growth of the Laguna de Bay basin within the

        and to carry out the development of the basin with due regard and adequate provision for
        environmental management and control, preservation of the quality of human life and
        ecological systems, and the prevention of undue ecological disturbances, deterioration and
        pollution.

        MANILA SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI FOUNDATION, INC. (MASCI-Alumni)   is the  gateway to a focal
        network to reunite  Manila Science High School alumni all over the world.  As a

        information exchange among  the alumni, and will further promote and facilitate
        camaraderie and technical cooperation for the successful  implementation of  its

        NATIONAL MAPPING AND RESOURCE INFORMATION AUTHORITY (NAMRIA) is the central mapping and resource
        information agency of the country.  The agency was created on June 27, 1987 by virtue
        of Executive Order No. 192 Section 22(a).  It is one of the attached agencies of the
        Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).   NAMRIA has four major
        functions namely:  mapping; oceanographic; hydrographic and geodetic surveys; remote
        sensing and resource data analysis; and information management and dissemination.

        PROTECTED AREAS AND WILDLIFE BUREAU (PAWB) is a staff sectoral bureau of the Department of Environment and
        Natural Resources created on June 10, 1987 through Executive Order No. 192.  Its
        primary task under the Order is to formulate policies, rules and regulations relative to
        the establishment and administration of the NIPAS and the management of other biologically
        important components of the environment such as ecosystems, species and genetic
        resources.  In addition, the Bureau monitors and coordinates the planning and
        implementation of the country's various programs and projects on biodiversity and as well

        PHILIPPINE AGENDA 21 is part of the country's response to fulfill its commitments in the
        historic Earth Summit in 1992 where government and key sectors of society agreed to

        where do we want to go?, and 4) how do we get there?. The major stakeholders involved in
        the formulation of the Philippine Agenda 21 found it necessary to seek common ground. The
