Pahiyas (Harvest Festival)
Lucban, Quezon Province
 

The annual celebration of the Pahiyas (Harvest) Festival in Lucban, Quezon every 15th of May celebrates the feast of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. The houses are adorned with colorful decors called “kiping” (edible "flowers" made of rice), flowers, rice grains and native lanterns.

Tanay, Rizal Province
 

Tanay, one of the lakeshore towns of Laguna de Bay, lies at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountain.  It is bounded on the north by the towns of Antipolo, Baras, Teresa and Montalban; on the east by Quezon Province; on the south by Pililla and the Province of Laguna; and on the west by Laguna de Bay.

Tanay is one of the thirteen towns and one component city which comprise the province of Rizal.  Located 54 kilometers away, southeast of Manila, it is the major agricultural and commercial center of eastern Rizal.
