It is imperative to ensure that indigenous tree species survive and propagated for forest rehabilitation.

To do this, PFEC promotes:

* Establishment of indigenous tree nurseries in communities

* Use of indigenous trees in the rehabilitation of Philippine forests

* Protection of mother trees in the natural forests

* Establishment of indigenous tree sanctuaries in the barangay level which shall become natural indigenous tree nurseries in the future.

PFEC provides assistance to seven (7) peoples organizations engaged in community forestry in the Bicol Region and Quezon province.
