During the 10th
Living Lakes Conference in Tagaytay City in May 2005. a forum
for the youth was held as a parallel session with the conference
workshops. This was attended by the groups from -
-
Tanay, Rizal (Kilos Kabataan Para sa Lawa, 2003);
-
Los Ba�os, Laguna (Kilos Kabataan Para sa Lawa, 2004
/ Youth Circle);
-
SACRED (Young Environmental Stewards);
-
Lumban, Laguna (Lumban Youth Group); and
-
Quezon City (Association of Architecture Students -UP
Diliman chapter).

The groups were able to consolidate their ideas and initiatives for
the conservation of Laguna de Bay and its environ.
As a follow through, the CLEAR, through the Society for the
Conservation of Philippine Wetlands (SCPW), organized a forum to
strengthen the commitment of the youth and to plan the next steps
for the CLEAR Youth Network. The same groups were
invited to the forum to craft the guidelines of the network.
The objectives, projects and activities, and the participation and
involvement of the various groups to the CLEAR Youth Network were
discussed through a one-day planning workshop, plenary discussions
and group dynamics.
The CLEAR Youth Network Forum was successfully held on 01 October
2005 at the Gazebo of the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature
Center in Diliman, Quezon City. It was supported by the
Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau of the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources.
